It is my last week here in Aix-en-Provence, and Ive never had such a hard time studying for my finals. There is so much fun to be had! Last weekend I went out with my closest friends here to our favorite Pizzeria for dinner, and we had a blast savoring our time together, reflecting on the semester, and getting free wine from the waiters! It is safe to say we have become regulars there, and receive lots of attention and usually free wine with our meals. It is a lot of fun. Afterwards we went dancing at IPN, the popular local nightclub. Im not really a clubber in general, but I promised my friend Julie that I would go before the end of the semester. I ended up having a lot of fun, dancing and singing karaoke until 3 in the morning. It was kind of a cathartic night, after a very emotionally exhausting week and pre-finals stress.
As I said in my last entry, the end of the semester is very bittersweet for me. Mostly it is hard to believe that my semester abroad is almost over. As exhausting and challenging as it has been, now that it is the end I feel like my time in France flew by. I have kept a detailed private journal throughout the semester, and I am looking forward to reading through it on my flight home to the States. It is hard to believe I have done and experienced so much in the last 4 months. I have had a wonderful semester, and will undoubtedly miss France and my friends here. But I am also ready to go home and see my family and my friends.
Thanks for reading my entries - I hope you enjoyed them!
