HHPA-398 Health Care in Kenya
Off-campus service learning experience focusing on health care outreach in rural areas of Eldoret, Kenya under the auspices of Open Arms International. In addition to health promotion activities, students will gain cultural insights and understanding through collaboration with local partners; visit historical, environmental, and health care sites; and engage in integrative group discussions.
Prerequisite: Fall semester prior to JT '14 departure, students will be required to enroll and participate in the IDST 098 Orientation to International Study (1 credit) or consent of instructor.
