MLSL-198  American Sign Language: Deaf Culture and Deaf History

Immerse yourself in American Sign Language and Deaf culture and Deaf history at Oregon School for the Deaf in Salem. This multi-level course will give students many opportunities to improve ASL skills, meet and communicate with OSD students, participate in OSD student activities, and increase awareness and understanding of Deaf culture and Deaf history. Transportation will be provided. Student will not be reimbursed for mileage or gasoline.

Prerequisite: MLSL Elementary American Sign Language or instructor permission. If students are on a meal plan with Sodexho Marriot, they will be charged for a special January Term meal plan. Students are expected to eat with the OSD students and therefore will be responsible for the cost of meals at OSD.
