Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

Position Type: Teaching Campus: McMinnville Description:

The Biology Department of Linfield College is seeking candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position; with the potential of renewal after the first year. The appointment begins July 1, 2013. The successful candidate will teach two courses with labs per semester (with significant support staff assistance) including both Introductory Biology and a sophomore level Genetics course. Other courses may include Evolution or other upper division course that fits the candidate’s expertise.

Qualifications:

We are particularly interested in hiring a candidate with experience in genomics, proteomics, or other bioinformatics-related specialty who can assist the department in developing these areas of the curriculum. While research is not a required part of this position, some research space and supplies are available.
