Exercise Science:  Degree Requirements

 Prerequisites:

MATH 170:  Calculus

BIOL 212 and 213: Anatomy and Physiology

 PHYS 210: Introduction to Mechanics

PSYC 101: Introduction to Psychology

 

Required Courses: 48 credits

BIOL 210 and 211; Principles of Biology

CHEM 210 and 211; General Chemistry

HHPA 183: Seminar in Health and Human Movement

HHPA 280: Nutrition

HHPA 352: Kinesiology

HHPA 365: Principles of Training and Conditioning

HHPA 397:  Introduction to Research and Analysis in Physical Activity/Human Performance

HHPA 440: Physiology of Exercise

HHPA 440L: Exercise Physiology Laboratory

HHPA 441: Senior Seminar in Exercise Science

HHPA 452: Biomechanics of Sport and Exercise

HHPA 482: Applied Exercise Science

HHPA 480 or 487: Internship or independent study: and a minimum of three credits

A grade of C- or better is required in all exercise science major courses and prerequisites.
