Fraternities and sororities are student organizations whose primary purpose is the personal development of their members. In contrast to most student organizations, membership in a fraternity or sorority is a lifetime affiliation, with students receiving the benefits of membership long after graduation. Fraternities and sororities promote intimate relationship bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that quickly become lifelong bonds.
Fraternities and sororities at Linfield College are committed to academic excellence, community service, leadership development, and forming lifelong bonds with our fraternal brothers and Panhellenic sisters. The Greek students at Linfield are active in a variety of student leadership positions, academic honor societies, and NCAA athletics. During the most recent spring semester, the Greek community contributed over 2,800 hours to serving in the community! Additionally, the Greek community earned an average GPA higher than the all-campus average!
We recommend that prospective members browse the fraternity and sorority pages as well as the recruitment page so that you can become more informed about Greek Life at Linfield College. We also provide a parents page that is meant for parents who are curious to learn more about the reality of Greek Life.
