I want to invest in faculty who change students’ lives.
Linfield students and alumni credit our faculty with developing their minds, character, potential, confidence, careers, and spirit, as well as their desire to continue learning for the rest of their lives. The impact of Linfield professors spans generations. That’s why it’s vitally important to build a base of permanent support for Linfield faculty that will match their long-term influence.
A larger endowment will help fund competitive salaries, maintain our student/faculty ratio of 13:1, and support teaching and research–all of which are essential to attracting and sustaining an energized and productive faculty. Endowment funds enrich the academic experience for students by providing support for professorships, visiting artists and lecturers, faculty development and research grants. They enable faculty to expand the curriculum, involve students in important research and field activities, and develop innovative teaching strategies. The faculty endowment is among Linfield's most vital tools for maintaining a distinguished faculty and assuring the college’s position as one of the nation’s leading small, private colleges.
