New Students Entering Spring of 2017 or Fall of 2017

Important Financial Aid Dates for Spring 2017 Entry

January 1, 2016 File your 2016-2017 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov.  Linfield’s federal school code is 003198.  We encourage you to file as soon after January 1, 2016 as possible.



December 15, 2016

Notification of financial aid awards for admitted spring, freshman and transfer, students will be mailed by this date.


January 15, 2017

Matriculation Fee of  $400 is due to the Office of Admission for all spring 2017 admitted students.
January 2017 The Student Accounts Office sends out bills/student account statements for spring semester 2017 in early January 2017, as well as instructions on how to “clear your account” on WebAdvisor by February 1, 2017.  Parents planning to borrow a Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan may submit the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan Request Form to the Office of Financial Aid for a credit check, upon approval will be required to complete the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov.
February 2017


Office of Financial Aid begins disbursing financial aid to eligible students, classes begin February 6, 2017 for spring semester.  First time Federal Direct Stafford (subsidized/unsubsidized) student loan borrowers must complete both their Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling at www.studentloans.gov.  Students who accepted emloyment on their award letter can search for Federal Work-Study or Campus Employment jobs on CatConnect.

October 1, 2016 File your 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Linfield's federal school code is 003198.  We encourage you to file as soon after October 1, 2016 as possible for the 2017-2018 academic year that includes Fall Semester 2017 and Spring Semester 2018.

No later than April 1, 2017

National Candidate Reply Date for admitted freshman - Matriculation Fee $400 due to the Office of Admission.


No later than May 15, 2017

June 15, 2017

Enrollment Notification Deadline for admitted transfer students - Matriculation Fee $400 due to the Office of Admission.
