Housing Assignments

We make housing assignments in the same order in which matriculation fees are received by the Admission Office. After you submit the $400 matriculation fee we will begin to work to match up, as best we can, your hall request and roommate possibilities. The Residence Life staff will work to find the best housing and roommate option available.

We will announce hall assignments in mid July and send information about the assignments [including contact information for roommate(s)] to your mailing address. Read through the Residence Life at Linfield brochure included with your Admit Packet or visit the Residence Life Webpages to review your housing options and submit your housing preference form.


Will I be housed in a Residence Hall or in an On-Campus Apartment?

Residence Halls (first-years and sophomores): If you have less than two years of college coursework or are younger than 21, you’ll be assigned to live in one of Linfield’s 17 residence halls. Most of these rooms are doubles.

Campus Apartments (juniors and seniors): If you’ve completed at least two years of college credits or are 21 or older, you’ll be placed in an on-campus apartment. On-campus housing is required for all juniors and is optional for seniors, although you’re always guaranteed a space. These apartments are available as doubles, triples and quads.
