Faculty Grant Opportunities
Linfield encourages its faculty to seek grants for research or other professional activity, and it appreciates ideas for projects or programs that might benefit the college and attract grant funding to the institution. The information provided here is intended to help faculty or other Linfield staff seek grant funding and understand the processes by which ideas can be turned into viable grant proposals.
Grants generally fall into two categories:
- Individual grants, which are typically awarded to individual faculty members for such purposes as research or other fellowships.
- Institutional grants, which are awarded to the college, typically for such purposes as constructing or remodeling buildings, acquiring equipment, or developing new academic programs
