Education: B.A. in Technical Theatre from North Texas State University, M.F.A. in Scenic Design from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
Academic Interests: Ty's research interests include the development of computer aided design curriculum for theatre students in a liberal arts environment. He is a member of the national organization, United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT). Ty has received numerous awards for his work including the Kennedy Center Medallion from KC/ACTF and the Horace Robinson President's Award from the Northwest Drama Conference.
Ty Marshall, a member of the Theatre Program since 1987, teaches the design and technical courses. He creates the scenic and lighting designs for most of the program's productions and on occasion designs for theatres in Portland, Oregon.
