Faculty Profile

With a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Linfield students receive care and guidance from faculty who are concerned about their personal and professional development. Ninety-three percent of the 111 full-time faculty on the McMinnville Campus have a Ph.D. or the appropriate terminal degree in their field. Fifty-eight percent of the 31 full-time faculty in Portland have a terminal degree in their field. Linfield emphasizes collaborative research between students and faculty. Through the Linfield Research Institute and a special collaborative research endowment, students are actively involved in research in all areas of the curriculum, from the biological, physical and social sciences to the arts and humanities.
