Movie Maker for Vista vs Windows Live Movie Maker (includes link to download Movie Maker 2.6)

Windows Live Movie Maker, the newest version of the software, includes a number of changes to the interface and the tools included in the program. Some of these changes can be both difficult to get used to and limiting (for instance, audio features like recording a narration have been reduced or removed). Because of this, you may prefer to use an older version of Movie Maker rather than the revamped program.

If this is the case for you, we suggest Movie Maker 2.6. This is the Vista version of the software that can also be downloaded and installed free on Windows 7.
