
The Linfield College Student Accounts Office has an account clearing procedure for you to pay the billed charges for each semester. The procedure includes specific date requirements and for the Fall Semester the clearing date is August 5th. The Student Accounts Office has mailed the paperwork necessary to complete the account clearing process.
To start the process, go to Webadvisor and click on the "Clear Your Account" link and follow the steps indicated to complete the process. Please be sure to accept the terms and conditions of the Linfield College Educational Services Agreement. Also, don't forget to waive your insurance online if you have other medical insurance coverage.
You need to have your student ID card in order to access your residence hall or apartment. If you do not have your ID card when you arrive, you will need to have a new ID card produced. On Saturday, August 24, the ID photo station will be open from 10 am - 4 pm. On Sunday the ID photo station will be open from 10 am - 4 pm. You will need to have valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc.) in order to be issued a Linfield ID. The ID station will be in Cozine Hall.
Classes for Fall Semester start on Monday, August 26. Residence halls and suburbs for continuing students will be open Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. Keys are available from 10 am-6 pm from the Residence Life Office in Mahaffey Hall, Room 127. HP Park residents must also go to the Residence Life Office and check in to housing (your card access will be deactivated if you do not check in). You need to have your account cleared in order to pick up your room keys or have your swipe card access activated, so please make sure you complete the account clearing process. Go to the Cashier Window In Melrose Hall first to get your valid Fall 2013 sticker before attempting to check into college housing.
The college hosts a number of visitors during the summer for conferences and special programs. In order to complete campus maintenance projects and prepare the facilities for the start of the year, we ask that you respect the arrival time as posted in the contract you signed when selecting your room. For information about early arrival for fall sports or other purposes please go to the Residence Life Website.

You will need to renew your parking permit with College Public Safety. If you have not done so you can Renew Online by clicking the link "Register Your Vehicle Online".
If you plan to graduate in the 2013-14 academic year, you should have already submitted your Intent to Graduate form to the Registrar's Office. If you did, your status review will be in your unit box soon after you return to campus in the fall. If you did not submit the form but plan to graduate, it is a high priority that you complete the form when you return to campus.
Spring 2014 Commencement will take place Sunday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. on the Commencement Green. Baccalaureate will be Saturday, May 31 at 5 p.m. in Wilson Gym. The Grad Finale reception will be immediately following the Baccalaureate. Complete information about Spring Commencement will be available during the year.
On Monday, August 26, fall classes begin. If there is space in a class and you have the prerequisites, you can change your registration over WebAdvisor until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27.
Registration change requests (adds and drops) requiring instructor signatures can be submitted online or can be done in Melrose 012 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Students must bring their ID cards with the 2013 FA sticker and add/drop forms with signatures from their advisor and the instructor(s) of the class(es) involved.
The last day to drop a fall class with no record on the transcript is Friday, September 13.
Friday, November 1, is the final day to drop a class with a ‘W’ designation on the transcript.
Refunds for various course-related fees will be issued if notified in writing on or before:
The first day of the semester (Monday, August 26) - 100% course fee refund;
The last day to enroll in a course (Friday, September 6) - 50% course fee refund;
After the last day to enroll in a course (Saturday, September 7 and beyond) – no course fee refund.
Note that you must drop the course by the end of the first day of the semester--Monday, August 26--in order to get a 100% refund of the course fee, regardless of when the class meets for the first time.
