Special Announcement Test - 6/8/2011

All Linfield students and employees who are currently on campus are now asked to report to the upper level of the HHPA building. Anyone injured should be taken to triage at Renshaw field. Building damage is being assessed. Please do not enter any buildings. Be alert for any down powerlines or other damage.

Linfield employees who have not been asked to report to work, should not come to campus. They will receive notification when it is safe to return to campus.

Following this morning’s earthquake, all individuals should vacate buildings and go to the Riley/Walker field, gathering by building group. Injured individuals should be taken to Renshaw Field.

Some buildings have sustained damage but the extent is still being investigated. Updates will be posted on the Linfield website as information is available and confirmed. For more information, call 888-954-6343. Only two lines are available, so please be patient.

Local residents are advised to stay away from Linfield Avenue and Davis Street due to road damage.

On Wednesday, June 8, at 7:25 a.m. an estimated 9.0 earthquake was reported off the Oregon coast, near Lincoln City, lasting almost one minute. Linfield College is currently assessing damage to structures and checking on safety of students and staff. Some buildings have sustained damage but the extent is still being investigated. Updates will be posted on the Linfield website as information is available and confirmed. Linfield is in the process of establishing an informational phone number and will post it as soon as it becomes available.

Local residents are advised to stay away from Linfield Avenue and Davis Street due to road damage.
