A Little About Me

I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education going on 21 years now.  Starting part-time in a child care center, I then continued my love working with young child by earning a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and a M. ED. in Early Childhood Special Education.  I previously worked as an early childhood special education teacher for 5 years and operated an in-home child care program for 2 years.  This is my third school year teaching at Linfield Pre-K.

       Personally, I like to spend time with my family and friends.  My son, Mason, is 7 years old and a big second grader.  My husband, Phil, works as a drug & alcohol treatment specialist in the federal prison in Sheridan.  We are also a military family formerly with the Oregon National Guard and currently with the Army Reserves.  Phil is scheduled for another year deployment in 2012 heading to the African country of Djibouti.  I enjoy outings at the beach and Portland area, camping in the mountains, swimming with my son, and taking walks with my Golden Retriever, Tanker.  I love living in Oregon and especially in our community.  I am thrilled to be working at the Linfield Pre-K and look forward to the school year!
