Academic Interests: Professor Summers has been a Linfield faculty member in the department of economics since 1992. From 2001-2008 he served as Associate Dean of Faculty. He has chaired Linfield's curriculum committee and chaired the strategic planning process which produced the college's strategic agenda for 2000-05. He has published and presented research in the areas of comparative economic systems, international trade policy, and the economics of higher education.
