Policy Notes
(1) Schedule Changes: I reserve the right to change the schedule as necessary. You are responsible for keeping track of schedule changes through WEBCT announcements.
(2) Study Guide: A study guide will be provided on WEBCT approximately one week before all quizzes and the final.
(3) Make up Quizzes & Tests:
I permit a make up quiz or test for the following two possibilities:
1) If you provide verifiable written evidence from a doctor of a hospital stay or equivalent situation (my decision) that would prevent you from taking the test.
2) If you know prior to the test date that you are unable to make it due to something very important (my decision), unavoidable, and verifiable (written).
The make up will be similar in structure to the original, but specific questions may differ, and it will be scheduled at my convenience. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled quizzes or tests, please notify me immediately, and find out if I decide whether or not to offer you a make up.
(4) Academic Honesty. It is expected that all students adhere to the college policy on academic honesty, as published in the Linfield College Course Catalog.
(5) E-mail: Please restrict your use of email to topics that require privacy, such as your grade or inability to take a quiz. Most of your comments and questions should be posted in the class discussion so that the entire class can learn from the question / answer exchange.
(6) Disabilities. Students with documented disabilities who may need accommodation, who have any medical information an instructor should know, or who require special arrangements in the event of evacuation, should meet with the instructor as early as possible, no later than the first week of class.
