The Human Resource Management Certificate equips individuals with practical knowledge and skills pertinent to the human resources functions, including involvement in strategic human resource planning, recruiting and hiring of staff and compliance with labor and employment laws
The certificate is valuable for individuals who are currently in management, a member of a human resources team or those interested in gaining expertise in human resources management.
Requires completion of two core courses (Some Courses May Require Prerequisites)
BNMG 301 Organizational Behavior and Management4 credits
BNMG 405 Human Resource Management/4 credits
Plus three of the following:
BNMG 410 International Management/4 credits
BNMG 415 Business, Ethics and Society/4 credits
BNMG 436 Topics in Management: Employee Benefits/4 credits
BNMG 436 Topics in Management: Employment Law/ Collective Bargaining/4 credits
Students are not permitted to pursue an HRM certificate and bachelor’s degree in management simultaneously, as they share the same core courses.
