Tuition cost is on your mind, as well it should be. But if you are considering applying to Linfield’s Adult Degree Program, you can rest assured that tuition for the program is within reach for an impressive range of applicants. Thanks to a host of financial aid policies and programs, Linfield’s Adult Degree Program is among the most affordable programs of its kind in the nation. Adult learners can take advantage of flexible payment options, and apply for federal grants and loans, veterans’ benefits, and scholarships available exclusively for adult degree-seeking students. Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to all eligible degree and certificate-seeking students Various grants and subsidized Stafford Loans are available to those students who demonstrate financial need. Unsubsidized Stafford Loans are awarded to students on a no-need basis. Students must be admitted to Linfield’s Adult Degree Program prior to receiving a financial aid award. In order to be eligible for financial aid the student must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and complete the proper paperwork.
Applying for Financial Aid
Students who want financial aid must apply every year. Financial aid awards are disbursed in Summer term, Fall semester (usually includes enough for 1 course in Winter term,) and Spring semester. Steps to Take
- Complete the Linfield Application for Financial Aid (LAFA) and send to the Office of Financial Aid. Complete FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA after January 1 when applying for the next school year. Use Linfield's Title IV code: 003198.
- Contact an advisor to map out your Academic Plan.
- Taxes done? Make a copy!
- If you are a recipient of the Oregon Opportunity Grant you must file the FAFSA or renewal form prior to February 15.
- All first time borrowers of Federal Stafford Loans are required to complete an Entrance Interview. This interview must be complete before loan funds can be disbursed to your student account. If you previously completed one at another school, complete the waiver section on the Linfield Application for Financial Aid. You may complete the Entrance Interview online.
