Financial Aid Information for Linfield's ADP Program
Financial aid is available to all eligible degree and certificate-seeking students. Various grants and loans are available to those students who demonstrate financial need. Students must be admitted to Linfield’s Adult Degree Program prior to receiving a financial aid award. In order to be eligible for financial aid the student must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and complete the proper paperwork.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FINANCIAL AID…
- For your convenience the Office of Financial Aid has put together a check list from start to finish with the steps you will need to take to successfully complete your request for Linfield financial aid. See Steps to Successfully Complete Your Financial Aid.
- ALL correspondences will be through your Linfield Email Account (CatNET). We do not have the capability to set up emails to go to your personal email account so it is very important you check your Linfield Email Account on a weekly basis.
- Linfield is now participating in the Direct Loan Program for ALL Stafford Loans. It is mandatory for all students who will be accepting any Stafford Loans to complete a Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note. (please see FAQ for more detailed information)
- Your Stafford Loan Funds will be posted to your student account on the day of classes or next business day AFTER the first day of class. (please see FAQ for more detailed information)
- For students who qualify for State and Federal Grants, those funds will be posted to your student account approximately three weeks AFTER the first day of class. (please see FAQ for more detailed information)
- Once your aid has been posted to your student account it will take approximately 5 to 10 business days for you to receive your refund check. (please see FAQ for more detailed information)
- You must have 6 or more credits to receive financial aid. (please see FAQ for more detailed information)
IMPORTANT DATES
- Academic Plan: Meet with your advisor after March 1, 2011 for the 2011-2012 School year
- FAFSA: File before start date in 2011-2012 school year
- Summer 2011 classes start June 20, 2011
- Fall 2011 classes start September 12, 2011
- Winter 2012 classes start January 3, 2012 (financial aid may be included in fall award)
- Spring 2012 classes start February 20, 2012
