Learn online
Internet access and a web browser are all you need to
have your own personal classroom. Enjoy plenty of communication
with your classmates and professor any time of day, any day of the week.
- Online courses are perfect for students with schedules that demand flexibility.
- Online classes will require you to post assignments by a certain time each week. You can do most of the work on your own schedule.
- You will have separate links for submitting homework, group discussion, and personal communication with your instructor, and tests are done online.
- With Internet access you can work from anywhere in the world. This is an ideal program for those who travel.
- Expect to spend the same amount of time in an online class as you would in a face-to-face class, and expect to adhere to similar homework deadlines.
A fee is charged for each online course in addition to tuition. Once
you register and pay the fee you will sign up for
a Linfield computer account (if you have not previously taken any classes from
Linfield DCE).
Online courses can be found at the Online
Courses Home Page.
You must be a registered student to access this site, and it can only be accessed with a user name and password.

How can I learn to take a class in the online format?
At the beginning of each term, tutorial demonstrations are provided for adult students new to online learning at Linfield. These are held at the McMinnville and Portland campuses. You do not need to be registered in an online course to attend one of the on-campus demonstrations. When you have registered for an online class you will also be able to access an online tutorial for Blackboard CE6.
