Certificates
Requirements
There are currently four certificates available through Linfield's Division of Continuing Education: Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Human Resource Management, and Marketing.
What is a Certificate?
A Certificate is a short term goal that provides professional recognition of your knowledge and skills in a given specialty. The earning of a certificate demonstrates a commitment on your part to standards set by the Linfield College Business and Computer Science Departments. Each certificate consists of 4 to 6 courses. Academic credits are awarded and a diploma is issued by Linfield.
Who is the Certificate for?
The Certificates are designed for adults who want to be competitive in today’s knowledge–driven economy where high demand, well paying occupations depend on an educated workforce. The Certificate program provides continuing education that enables you to build your career and obtain advancement through your knowledge and experience.
Computer Information Systems, Human Resource Management and Marketing Certificates may be earned while completing a bachelor’s degree. The Accounting Certificate (Post Baccalaureate) is open only to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree.
Linfield College
Linfield College is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Our high instructional standards are maintained in each of the courses required for the Certificate.
Tuition
Tuition is $300 per semester credit for 2008-2009. Each semester the class schedule is mailed and posted to the web. You register online each semester and pay only for the credits that you are taking at that time.
Academic Advising
A Linfield Advisor is available to discuss your educational goals and to assist you with mapping out your Certificate program. Select the link below for an application for admission to the Certificate Program.
