Course Description: Field-based course for individuals with minimal orno backpacking experience. Focus on packing, safetravel, navigation, environmental ethics, andnutrition in the backcountry. Includes selectingand using proper equipment for average weekendbackpacking trips in Pacific Northwest. OneSaturday meeting and one three-day field-basedtrip. $40 fee.Paracurricular courses are repeatable for credit.1-2 credits (EL)
