Linfield College Adult Degree Program announces degree partnerships with local community colleges. Degree Partnership Programs provide dual enrollment for students attending Chemeketa Community College, Portland Community College, Columbia Gorge Community College, Tillamook Bay Community College, Central Oregon Community College and Clatsop Community College.
"Through degree partnerships, Linfield is creating a seamless pathway for community college students to follow in earning a bachelor's degree," said Dr. Neal Rosenburg, Associate Dean of Nursing, Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing. The partnerships also reduce total educational costs and help students avoid academic credit loss during the transfer process.
Linfield Adult Degree Program has two new degree partnerships as of February 2013, with Central Oregon Community College and Clatsop Community College. Both of these partnerships are for the Associate of Applied Sciences in Nursing Degree to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, in the Online RN to BSN program.
These partnerships provide students the opportunity to achieve the associate degree at their community college while also being enrolled in the bachelor’s degree through Linfield’s Adult Degree Program. Students have the ability to utilize joint financial aid making funds available for both college tuitions if they want to take courses at Linfield while enrolled in the associate degree.
The PCC-CGCC-TBCC/Linfield Degree Partnership is offered to students who plan to complete any bachelor’s degree through Linfield’s Adult Degree Program. Dual enrollment is available for students progressing from associate degree to bachelor’s degree with majors in Accounting, Management, Marketing, International Business, Social & Behavioral Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Business Information Systems, and Nursing, (RN-BSN).
The Chemeketa/Linfield Degree Partnership is restricted to nursing students only, who are admitted to the Associate of Applied Sciences in Nursing degree program at Chemeketa. This partnership provides dual enrollment opportunities and a seamless transition after completion of the Associate Degree to enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Linfield through the Online RN to BSN program of study. "Linfield College places a high value on building collaborative relationships with our region's community colleges, for the educational attainment of students," said Dr. Rosenburg.
Students who take advantage of the degree partnerships receive free application to Linfield as well as comprehensive support services and academic advising from associate degree through the completion of their bachelor’s degree.
