The Senior Project is the capstone of Linfield’s Arts and Humanities program. Students choose a cultural artifact – a text, painting, or character in a play, for example – which is of interest to them and an area of study where they have done preliminary work. During a seminar course (IDST 485) followed the next semester by an independent study (IDST 490), students formulate, research, write and present a thesis paper on this chosen topic.
