Linfield students and faculty are active participants in cultural activities and the arts, both on the Linfield campus and in the community. Involvement ranges from the college's annual theatre productions to a variety of musical activities, such as an award-winning choir, a college/community concert band, instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles, the Linfield Chamber Orchestra, Opera Theatre, and faculty/student chamber music groups.
The college's library hosts annual readings by a variety of authors and the campus art gallery displays work by local and regional artists. Students also produce their own literary magazine.
Various academic departments provide events and activities that explore and celebrate the creative arts, and you will find across the campus many opportunities to learn from or participate in artistic or cultural programs.

The play focuses on Nora, a vibrant young housewife who must reevaluate her marriage after the truth of her relationship with Torvald, her husband, is exposed. Nora's determination to discover her own self-worth and forge a new identity by leaving her husband and children created an up roar when it debuted in 1879 and remains one of the most famous and scandalous dramas of the 19th century. For 135 years and in countries all around the world, Nora has been slamming the door on her husband and children, making "A Doll's House" one of the most performed dramas of all time. As a harbinger of modern drama, Ibsen believed that theatre should provide insights and generate discussion about important social ideas. Nora's search for identity has not lost its relevance today.
Performed in a Victorian-style dollhouse with seating on all four sides, the audience will peer into the windows of Nora's pristine dollhouse only to realize that its beautiful facade cannot continue to hold its doll captive.
Directed by associate professor of theatre Janet Gupton, set and lighting designs are by professor Tyrone Marshall, costume design by Alethia Moore Del-Monaco, and sound design by Robert Vaughn. The cast includes Jessica Learn (Nora), Chris Lambert (Torvald), William DeBiccari, Christopher Forrer, Sharon Hagel, Bailey Maxwell, Caitlyn Olson, and Andrew Purcell. Also joining the cast are Hunter Svec-Orr and Jacob Harmon who play the children of the Helmers.
