Complaints, Grievances, and Problem Resolution
Linfield College strives to delivers a high quality, accredited educational experience for all of its students. Students are encouraged to work with appropriate faculty or staff members to resolve any concerns or issues that arise as soon as possible. Students should become familiar with policies and procedures that are documented in the Linfield College Catalog , the Linfield College Policy , and the student handbook relevant to their program. These publications include the basic policies guiding student life as well as the processes by which some academic or administrative decisions may be appealed.

Constitution Day and Citizenship Resources
- Voter Registration information is available for Linfield students through the Associated Students of Linfield College (ASLC). Students may also use the federal site for locating information about how to Register to Vote or find assistance with registering to vote and voting
- The Linfield Department of Political Science hosts an annual educational program on or about September 17, Constitution Day, commemorating the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution. When September 17 falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, Constitution Day will be held during the preceding or following week. Information on the 2016 Constitution Day program is available on the Linfield News page. Other recent programs by the department's Frederick Douglass Forum on Law, Rights, and Justice include the 2015 Constitution Day Lecture (See also prior lectures in 2014, 2013, and 2012; see the event list to review all recent events).

The College expects everyone to uphold ethical standards in conducting the business of the College. No employee should engage in conduct which constitutes a substantial misrepresentation of the College, including the nature of its educational programs, financial charges, or the employability of its graduates. Misrepresentation includes any false, erroneous or misleading statement, or a statement that has the likelihood or tendency to mislead or confuse. A substantial misrepresentation is one on which the person to whom it was made can reasonably be expected to rely, or has reasonably relied, to that person’s detriment. Students, prospective students and others who believe they have experienced misrepresentation as described by this policy should contact the Dean of Students, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, or other appropriate official and report the misrepresentation, seeking help to rectify the matter.

Although students do transfer from Linfield to other institutions, Linfield's mission is to serve students who are completing their degrees and certificates at Linfield. Consequently, transfer-out rates are not calculated (nor are they required to be calculated by federal regulation).

Teacher Program Preparation Report
All institutions that prepare teachers for initial state certification or licensure are required to report annually to the state and to the general public. The federal Department of Education makes these reports public at the state and institutional level. These reports may be found at the Department of Education website, Title II Higher Education Act. Please select the State of Oregon to review all Oregon institutions including Linfield College.
