CPS Staff

All CPS staff are certified as private security providers by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) of Oregon.

Ron Noble
Director of College Public Safety

Director Noble joined Linfield College in 2014. Ron retired as Chief of Police from the McMinnville Police Department after 26 years of police service. He holds Executive Police and Security Certificates from the Oregon Board of Public Safety Standards and Training; is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, a graduate of the Oregon Executive Development Institute, and a graduate of the Portland State University Executive Leadership Institute’s Public Safety Command College. Director Noble is past-president of the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police, and holds professional memberships in several organizations, including the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the FBI National Academy Associates.

Director Noble is married and has four children. He strives to maintain a balanced life and enjoys being involved in family, church and community activities.

Jason Bickell
Senior Officer/Supervisor

Senior Officer Bickell has served with Linfield College since 1999. Prior to Linfield, he worked for the Marion County Sheriff's Office. He holds several instructor certifications for public safety and security. Officer Bickell has attended the Western Association of College Law Enforcement Administrators Academy and has instructed there since 2001. Jason holds and Executive Security Certificate from the Oregon Board of Public Safety Standards and Training, and is also a member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Jason is a member of the McMinnville/Yamhill County Threat Assessment Team and provides oversight of DPSST certification for Linfield College Public Safety staff.

Jose Curiel-Morelos
Senior Officer/Supervisor

Senior Officer Curiel joined Linfield College in 2011. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Western Oregon University. Prior to serving with Linfield, Jose worked for Marion County Sheriff's Office. Officer Curiel is fluent in both English and Spanish. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Jose serves on the President's Advisory Committee on Diversity and provides oversight of the training program for Linfield College Public Safety staff.

Consuelo Christianson
Administrative Officer

Officer Christianson joined Linfield College in 2010 as Friendship Coordinator/Community Liaison for International Programs then transferred full-time to Public Safety in 2015.  She served 10 years active duty in the US Air Force in Intelligence, and then transferred to the Air National Guard as a Combat Radio Operator.  After 4 1/2 years she was put on Active Duty Special Orders with the Oregon National Guard Counterdrug Support Program where she worked as an Intelligence Analyst with the local county narcotics team.  In 2002 she retired as a First Sergeant, then continued working for the county for 13 years part-time.  

Doug Cummins
Emergency Preparedness Officer

Officer Cummins joined Linfield College in 2015.  Doug retired from the McMinnville Police Department after 30 years of service. Doug has expertise in emergency management and preparedness and is a volunteer Captain with the McMinnville Fire Department. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Doug provides oversight of the Linfield College emergency preparedness program.

Mary Heite
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Heite joined Linfield College in 2013.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and has been working in private security since 2003.  Prior to working at Linfield, Officer Heite served as a security officer for a large retail shopping center.  She is currently woring on her second Bachelors degree in Business.

Jerry Mitchell
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Mitchell joined Linfield College in 2012.  Jerry graduated from Western Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in Corrections and Social Sciences.  Prior to joining Linfield, he served several years with the Oregon Youth Authority.

Marty Ransier
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Ransier has served with Linfield College since 2005. Prior to working at Linfield he served several years in the U.S. Army. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Marty provides oversight of the Linfield College access control systems.

Gregg Tullius
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Tullius has served with Linfield College since 2013. Greg retired from the Oregon State Police after 30 years of service. He is an experienced investigator and assists the Office of Student Affairs with investigations involving violations of federal law related to Title IX.

Caleb Singharath
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Singharath joined Linfield College in 2015. Caleb attended Chemeketa Community College and is a certified life guard.

Beto Reyes
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Reyes joined Linfield College in 2015. Beto has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Western Oregon University. Officer Reyes is fluent in both English and Spanish. He looks forward to meeting new people, and strives to provide excellent customer service.  He enjoys being outside, playing multiple sports, and spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite quotes is “You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” by Jon Kabat-Zinn


Christopher Krigbaum
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Krigbaum has worked with Linfield College since 2011, both as a full time and part time officer. Christopher has experience in law enforcement, and has a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University where he is also an alumnus of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Sam Avendano
Campus Safety Officer

Officer Avendano works part time for public safety and is a local business owner in McMinnville.
