Degrees and Requirements - All Campuses

Total Credits

To earn a BA, BS, or BSN degree, a candidate must earn 125 credits.

Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)

To earn a bachelor’s degree a candidate must have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00. In addition, a student must obtain a cumulative GPA of 2.00 in courses contributing to the major. Additional majors and minors are subject to the same 2.00 cumulative GPA requirement. Departments may have additional GPA requirements.

Residency

No fewer than 30 credits must be from Linfield College, including 20 of the last 30 credits and 15 credits in the major. Residence credits do not include credit through challenge examinations, achievement examinations, Advanced Placement, CLEP examinations, or portfolio evaluation credits. As a qualification to the policy above, a student with at least 30 credits earned at Linfield may, with prior approval of the Curriculum Committee, spend the senior year at a foreign university.
