Education: B.A. Biology, Western Oregon University; Ph.D. Microbiology, The University of Alabama at Birmingham; Post Doctoral Research, The University of Massachusetts Medical School

Academic Interests: My primary research focus examines the mechanisms of intracellular calcium homeostasis in eukaryotic cells and how these mechanisms may be affected by carbohydrate metabolism. Secondary projects included examining mechanisms of transcriptional regulation by RNA polymerase II and investigating the role of the chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis in population declines of the Golden Tree Frog.
