Become A Senator

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Senator with the Associated Students of Linfield College. At the beginning of each academic year, there will be 27 senator positions. Residence Life (includes all dormitories and suburbs) will select 5 senators, the Communications Board (includes the Linfield Review, KSLC, Camas, and Wildcat Productions) will select 1 senator, and the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils will each select 1 senator. The remaining 19 will be selected by the Activities Council through an application process to choose 11 Club Senators and 8 At-Large Senators (2 per class level).

Being a senator is a yearlong commitment, with meetings every Monday at 6:30pm in TJ Day 103. The only requirements to become a senator are a passion for service, a willingness to learn, and a minimum 2.5 GPA (new incoming and transfer students may disregard GPA requirement).

If you're interested in representing Residence Life, Greek Life, or the Communications Board as a senator, please inquire with those organizations.

There are currently 3 Club Senator vacancies, 2 Junior Senator At-Large vacancies, and 2 Senior Senator At-Large vacancies. To apply for a position in Senate as a Club or At-Large Senator, please use the following application (word or pdf). Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions have been filled. Please email application to ASLCSenate@linfield.edu or drop off in the ASLC Offices (3rd floor or Riley).

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact ASLC Vice President Bradley Keliinoi at aslcvp@linfield.edu
