Looking for a way to get involved on campus this year? Linfield student government is now accepting applications for student senators for the 2016-2017 school year! This is a great way to make your voice heard on campus and be a part of making a positive change at Linfield.
Senators are volunteer positions and meet once a week for Senate meetings, which are Thursdays at 6:30pm in TJ Day 103. There are five open senator spots for each class (freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior) for a total of 20 senators. All Senate meetings are open to the entire student body, but only the five official senators for each class are voting members.
To apply to be a senator, email your resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, September 2nd at noon. In your cover letter please indicate why you want to be an ASLC senator, why you think you would be a valuable member of the Senate, and any ideas you have for Senate this year.
For questions about ASLC Senate, email the Senate President Kenna Whatley at email@example.com
