Linfield Activities Board (a.k.a. LAB)
The Linfield Activities Board is a body created by the Associated Students of Linfield College to coordinate a variety of social, cultural, educational, and physical activities. LAB is made up of six chairs: Special Events, Health and Outdoor Programs, Musical Entertainment, Cultural Events, Off Campus, and Secretary/Publicity.
LAB's budget comes from ASLC student body fees. With this money, LAB plans activities at little or no additional cost to Linfield students. Some examples of programming include weekly concerts, well-known comedians, white-water rafting, Wildstock outdoor music festival, free movies and dance lessons.
The Vice President of Programming is a member of ASLC Cabinet and oversees the general activity of the board. The chairs are responsible for the actual programming of events. Members of LAB can be reached at 503-883-2511, or at their desks in the ASLC offices on the third floor of Riley.
