Linfield Activities Board (LAB)

 

Nicole Bond
Vice President of Programming
Vice President of Programming oversees the Linfield Activities Board, which organizes events that occur both on- and off-campus. LAB provides Linfield students diverse, enjoyable and inexpensive activities that foster a sense of community on campus. VPP is also a member of the ASLC Cabinet and sits on Activities Council and speaks at weekly Senate meetings. Duties range from facilitating meetings to organizing LAB's trip to NACA and planning the annual WildStock festival. As a member of cabinet, the VPP helps to plan Homecoming, Mom's and Dad's Weekends, t shirt sales, the annual cabinet project, and other ASLC duties and events.

Andrew Villeneuve
Secretary/Publicity Chair

 The chair is responsible for taking minutes at the weekly LAB meetings, organizing activity evaluation forms, and processing all paperwork. The secretary works with the ASLC Publicity Director to advertise LAB-sponsored activities on and off campus. The chair is also responsible for creating a weekly informational flyer, What’s Happening, published for weekly Senate meetings. Also responsible for making the LAB events well known on campus. This includes flyers, banners and Facebook advertising.

Special Events Chair

The Special Events Chair organizes a variety of free activities that take place on Saturday nights. These include pre-dvd release movies, comedians, and other performances.

Emily Jenkins
On-Campus Programming  Chair

The On Campus Programming Chair organizes many events that occur on campus, such as the annual Diversity week, car maintenance workshops, spa days, and scrapbooking. Additionally, this chair organizes events that take place within McMinnville, such as movie nights at Third Street Pizza, trips to the aviation museum, and local service opportunities. This chair is also responsible for the outdoor equipment rental program.

Sports and Outdoor Off Campus Events Chair

The Sports and Outdoor Off Campus Chair organizes a variety of fun active, nature-based, and sports activities that take place off campus. Some examples are snowshoeing, hot air ballooning, hikes, and Portland Trailblazer games.

Evan O'Kelly
Musical Entertainment Chair

The Musical Entertainment Chair is responsible for booking musicians and bands for a variety of concerts on campus, including weekly Cat Cabs featuring both student and professional talents.

Nicole Szanto
Cultural Off Campus Events Chair

This Chair is responsible for providing the students with quality multicultural and unity activities. Some favorite activities include The Taste of series at various restaurants, trips to museums, or off- campus concerts, performances, and film festivals.
