My husband Eric Hines ('00) and I ('99) met at Linfield. We met at Eric's first forensics practice in Fall 1996 in the Communication Annex (a little white house on the edge of campus), and found that we shared a major in Political Science, minor in German, and a lot of classes. We got to know one another through coursework and travel to speech and debate competitions, started dating when Eric returned from his semester abroad in Vienna in 1998, and got married in 2004.
We now live in Missoula, Montana, where I work as the library director at Missoula College and Eric is a political science professor at University of Montana. We have two children, Lorelei (who is almost 6) and Edwin (who is almost one year). Our relationship served as a cautionary tale during the 2006 Mahaffey speech tournament held at Linfield!
