Are your ready to make course reservations?

Do these things NOW to prepare for making your course reservations

Get your CatNet ID Account

Sign up for your CatNet ID Account here. Remember the password that you choose. Test it by logging in to the Linfield Email System.

You must have a Linfield CatNet ID (a linfield email address) to log in to WebAdvisor and make course reservations. Your WebAdvisor account is automatically generated the morning after you create your CatNet ID (e-mail account). So, if you create your CatNet ID today you will need to wait until tomorrow morning (after 5:45 a.m.) to log into WebAdvisor.

Log In to WebAdvisor

Test to make sure your WebAdvisor account is functioning properly by logging into WebAdvisor at least one day after creating your CatNet ID. Use your CatNet ID (e-mail username without @linfield.edu) and password to log in.

Update your personal contact information in WebAdvisor

You must update this information prior to making course reservations. Once you are in WebAdvisor, follow these instructions:

Go to "Academic Profile" and click on"Emergency Contact Information."
Enter (or correct) your home email information and your cell phone number.
Your Linfield email should be listed, but your Linfield residence hall number will not be available yet.
Choose either "Opt-In" or "Opt-Out." You can change this information later, but you must make a selection prior to making your course reservations.
If you "Opt-In," the system will send emergency messages to your non-Linfield email and cell phone, as well as to your Linfield numbers.
If you "Opt-Out," it will send emergency messages ONLY to your Linfield email and phone.

Verify your Assigned Reservation Time

You will receive your assigned reservation time by email to your Linfield email account from the Office of Academic Advising shortly after your matriculation fee is processed. If you do not yet have a Linfield email account, this information will be sent to the email address on file. Make note of your assigned course reservation time!

Prepare your Preferred Course List

Keep your list of preferred and alternate courses handy. Refer to the Checklist for Selecting and Reserving Courses to make adjustments or additions.

Do you need to take placement exams?

have previous experience in a foreign language in high school and would like to continue study in that language at the college level
