Transfer Students

Fall Connections 2012

You will be welcomed to the Linfield community through the Fall Connections program.  Fall Connections will begin during Transfer Transitions, the set of activities designed specifically for transfer students that will take place during Freshman Orientation.  Connections will meet often during the weekend prior to classes starting, so clear your schedule to make sure you'll be able to participate. The Connections events will continue through the first few weeks of the semester,  helping you you to get to know other new students and become more familiar with the academic and campus life at Linfield. By attending all meetings throughout Transfer Transitions weekend and the required meetings once classes begin, you will be eligible for an earlier registration time for next semester. Details will be provided in the Fall Connections meetings.

Every new transfer student is assigned to Fall Connections section led by a faculty mentor and a peer mentor who is a former transfer student.  You will receive letters from the faculty and peer mentors in your Transfer Transitions packet, mailed in the summer. If you have any questions about who your Fall Connections mentors are, or how to contact them, please contact the Office of Academic Advising at aad@linfield.edu

Keep in mind that the Fall Connections mentors are just that - mentors to guide you in your transition to Linfield and to introduce you to opportunities in the Linfield community. For questions related to your academic planning and course selection, contact your faculty advisor.
