How to login to WebAdvisor:
You will need your Linfield Student ID number to complete the Measles Vaccination Authentication form. You'll find this number on the letter from Dan Preston, Vice President for Enrollment Management, in your Orientation packet. You will also need your vaccination information to complete the form.
Submit your Academic Advising Interest Form. You MUST complete this form to be connected with a faculty advisor and move forward with the registration process. You will be contacted via your Linfield email account with your faculty advisor assignment. Your intended major or interests will be used to assign you to an appropriate faculty advisor.
Review the official program evaluation (sent to you from the Registrar’s Office and available on WebAdvisor approximately 7-10 days after your matriculation fee has been submitted). This document will help you determine the requirements you have fulfilled through transfer coursework – and the areas in which additional classes are needed. Refer to the instructions enclosed in the packet sent from the Registrar to read your program evaluation. Contact the Office of the Registrar at reg@linfield.edu or 503.883.2211 if you have questions about how credits transferred or if you think some of your credits have not yet been evaluated.
The program evaluation you receive from the Registrar may only show how your transfer credit has satisfied the Linfield Curriculum. To see the extent to which your transfer coursework has satisfied your major, visit WebAdvisor to run your own program evaluation in your major.
To graduate, students must earn 125 semester credits with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.0. Within these 125 credits, students must complete the following requirements:
Refer to the online course catalog for more information about your major (and minor) and contact your faculty advisor for assistance.

If you are planning to take coursework in biology, chemistry, math or foreign language and haven’t taken these subjects in college previously or are unsure about how to select the appropriate course for your level, visit the advising and course placement webpage.
Using the list of ideas above, visit the Registrar’s website and review the current course list to begin selecting courses for your schedule.

Following the above course suggestions, make a list of courses offered this fall that interest you. Highlight the specific courses that you need to take in your first semester from those that can be taken in later semesters. Create your first choice and alternative schedules using the blank Sample Course Worksheet. Use the Weekly Schedule to make sure none of your classes conflict. Having trouble getting started? Check out some sample schedules for ideas about prioritizing classes and balancing your course load.
Review the list of courses that you’ve identified for next semester. Do you have a good balance of different types of classes? Do you have classes that contribute to Linfield Curriculum requirements and/or satisfy requirements for your major? Does your class schedule allow for blocks of study time? Are you excited about taking these classes?
Make sure your credit load is reasonable. Remember to allow yourself time to adjust to the academic expectations of Linfield; and keep in mind the demands your extracurricular activities will impose on your schedule. Linfield students usually complete 13-16 credits per semester. Keep in mind that to be considered a full-time student you must register for at least 10 credit hours, and if you are receiving financial aid and/or a scholarship, you must register for a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Share your proposed schedule with your faculty advisor. Your advisor must approve your schedule before you’ll be able to register.
Once your faculty advisor has cleared your course schedule, follow the registration instructions to register for classes on WebAdvisor.
Meet with your faculty advisor during Transfer Transitions in August to discuss your academic interests, review your course schedule and make adjustments as needed. Transfer advisors will be available in their offices on Sunday, August 25, from Noon to 2 p.m. Contact your advisor to let him/her know when you’ll be stopping by or, if this time doesn’t work, arrange an appointment time. Prior to registration for every semester at Linfield, you must meet with your faculty advisor to discuss your proposed course schedule and receive approval.
Make sure that Linfield has received current transcripts for your coursework from every institution you have attended. If you have questions about whether your transcripts have been received, contact Linfield’s Registrar’s office at (503) 883-2211. If any of your transcripts have not been received, request that they be sent immediately to the Registrar’s office at: Linfield College, 900 SE Baker St., McMinnville, OR 97128-6894.
