A Guide to Beginning your Linfield Career in the Spring Semester

Welcome to Linfield College!  We know that starting at a new college can be exhilarating and frightening. You don't know who you'll meet, what classes to take, what experiences you'll have, or what challenges you may face. We want you to have the best possible beginning to college life at Linfield and quickly feel part of the Linfield community. And we'll work hard to guide you every step of the way, from the first day of class to graduation.

Advising and Registration

Registration for new students begins on November 16. You will be assigned to a faculty advisor who will assist you with course selection – and who must approve your fall course schedule before you’ll be able to register for courses online. Follow the Spring Course Selection and Registration Checklist to receive your faculty advisor assignment and get registered.

This course is designed for all incoming transfer students during fall semester, and for all incoming students (both transfer and first-year) during the spring semester, who enter Linfield with fewer than 72 transferable credits. This course will focus on becoming a successful Linfield College student with emphasis on the transition to Linfield, the resources of the Linfield community, and the process of making sound academic and career choices.
