Course Placement Information

Some courses require that you consider the subject level that is appropriate for you. For example, if you didn’t take pre-calculus in high school, registering for a college-level calculus course would be an inappropriate course selection because the subject level would be too high. Your faculty and peer advisors will be able to assist you with selecting appropriate course levels, especially when you arrive on campus and meet individually with them to go over your schedule. However, this information will help you to make good decisions as you make your preliminary course selections and register this summer.

The departments at Linfield that offer special advising information and/or placement testing for students considering taking their courses are:

Modern Languages (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish)
