Advising and Registration Summer Timeline
May 1
Admitted students must respond to their offer of admission by submitting a matriculation fee to the Office of Admission by this date. Only students who have done so will be able to register for classes.
Mid-May
Orientation packets will be mailed to all confirmed students during the month of May. This packet will include:
- Instructions for choosing and registering for classes.
- Letters from assigned faculty and peer advisors. These individuals are also Colloquium instructors and will be available to assist in the registration process.
- Notice of when your registration time. (Two things to note about your registration time. First - this is the time that registration becomes available for you. Register as soon as possible after your registration time, but registration will remain open to you throughout the summer. Second – students are assigned registration dates and times based on the day they submitted their matriculation fee. Earlier matriculation fee = earlier registration time).
- A copy of the summer common reading text
- Orientation information
June 1
New students must submit their Advising Interest Surveys no later than this date. As an added incentive, students who meet the deadline will be entered in a drawing for Linfield bookstore gift certificates.
June 27 - 29
New students are assigned a specific date and time (during these three days) when the registration system will open for them. Students should try to register as close to this time as possible (as classes will fill) but the registration system will remain open until classes begin in the fall. Refer to the Course Selection and Registration guide for information on how to choose courses and complete the online registration process.
