NOTE: It is a good idea to select a second
major or a minor that provides an emphasis in another discipline that will
strengthen your post-graduate professional pursuits.

MAJOR/MINOR SPECIFIC ADVISING INFORMATION
If you are planning to become a
teacher, do the following: (a) consult the Student Handbook For Teacher
Education (which you may obtain in the Education Dept. located in Potter
Hall) for the requirements for entry into the teacher education program; (b)
schedule an appointment with a member of the education faculty (Education
Dept.) and discuss the requirements for entry into a teacher education program;
(c) schedule the following courses during your freshman year because these are
prerequisites for admission to teacher education.
