Campus Visit
Top 10 Things to do on Campus:

10. Hang out at the people fountain. Check out the cool fountain next to Dillin (the dining commons). Students can be found dipping their feet in the water, dressing the statues up, and taking pictures. Some are just found sitting contemplatively with Bob (you just can’t resist naming them once you start hanging out here).

9. Go to an art exhibit. Head out to the Miller Fine Art building’s professional and student gallery. Every month a new artist is featured in the main gallery. There are opening night celebrations each month, a student juried art show, and senior presentations of work at the gallery. Make sure to grab some friends and check out what your fellow students and up and coming artists are creating.

8. See a play. Each semester Linfield’s theater department puts on at least two plays as well as student directed plays, and acting class final scenes. Make sure to check out the new theater building and your fellow classmates and friends becoming stars. Plus student tickets are only 5 dollars!
7. Be active. Take a swim, go for a run on the Wellness Trail or pump iron in the weight room. The athletic facilities are available to all Linfield community members and you may even play a pick-up basketball game with one of your professors.
6. Catch a flick. Watching movies with your friends on a big screen and it’s free? What could be better than that? Make sure to head over to Melrose Auditorium because every Saturday night the Linfield activities board shows free movies. Make sure to check out the various concerts, lectures, and comedians through out the semester in Melrose as well.

5. Play Ping-Pong. Or pool, or air hockey, or Ms. Pac Man in the Game Room. Get your roommate and some friends together and head up to the third floor of Riley. The game room also has tons of video games. Bond over an intense game of air hockey. Meet new people.
4. Drink a Cup O’ Joe. Relax, study, or play board games at O’Rileys which offers mid-day snacks and espresso in Riley Hall.
3. Speak a foreign language. Through out the week the Modern Language Department offers Language Tables at lunch in Dillin. This is a great place to practice and brush up on your German, Spanish, or French skills and to meet new people. Check out other cool ways to eat your lunch in Dillin as well like at a Brown Bag presentation put on by International Programs about studying abroad in Mexico or at a Sociology/Anthropology (SOAN) discussion forum.

2. Listen to a faculty lecture. Every month different faculty members share their interests within their field of study. Listen to your philosophy professor discuss educational policy and democracy or your chemistry professor share the latest experimental research. Head to Riley 201 and enjoy seeing and hearing what your professors are up to outside of the classroom.

1. Watch a Cat Cab. Every Wednesday night students perform various musical stylings, poetry readings, and other talents in Fred Meyer Lounge. There have been mock weddings, interpretative dances, and crazy skits. Make sure to catch the rock stars, opera singers, and belly dancers as they make their debut at Linfield.
