Sample Spring Visit Day Agenda
Sunday (optional)
4:00 p.m.
Meet Overnight Host
Students spending the night with a current student in a
residence hall on the Sunday prior to the event day will be introduced to their
hosts. Meal vouchers will be provided
for the duration of the campus visit. The
Sunday overnight visits are optional.
All student overnight guests must sign an overnight visitor contract. You are welcome to print it out and bring the completed copy with you to campus. Extra copies will be available at the time of check in.

Monday
8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
Registration
Check-in and receive information about the day’s events. Students will receive details regarding their class visit, including the subject and professor in their event packet.
Students spending the night will receive their event packet when they arrive to campus Sunday afternoon.
An optional breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. in Dillin Hall, our main dining hall. If you wish to have breakfast, please let us know during the registration process.
8:15 – 10:00 a.m.
Class Visit (students only)
Students will receive
class details in their event packets. All classes will end by 10:35 a.m.
9:15 – 10:15 a.m.
Linfield 101 (parents & families, optional for
students)
While students are in
class, parents and family members will attend their own session highlighting
Linfield’s required courses for new students and general Linfield curriculum. Students attending a
class ending at or before 9:15 a.m. are encouraged to attend.
10:15 –11:30 a.m.
Life at Linfield (all)
What is life like for a
Linfield College student? Join Linfield community members as they share
information about living and learning at Linfield. Current students and representatives from the
Student Affairs, Residence Life, Career Development and Academic Affairs
offices will be available to answer questions.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Lunch (all)
Join members of the
Linfield community for a hosted lunch and conversation about studying abroad in
our dining commons.
12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Residence Hall Tour (all)
A current student will
lead you around campus to show you the differences between several of our
residence halls. This is only a tour of
residence halls. A traditional campus
tour will be available at 1:30 p.m.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Optional Campus Tour
Students and families are
invited to take an optional student-led campus tour. The tour will take
approximately one hour.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Optional Goodbye Reception
Before saying goodbye to
Linfield or exploring campus on your own, we invite you to stop by the
introduce yourself to your admission counselor, visit the bookstore, get your
last minute questions answered and grab a quick snack for the road.
1:30 – 4:00 p.m.
Optional Individual Appointments
Appointments with the
offices of Financial Aid, Learning Support Services and many athletic coaches
will be available to those who pre-schedule an individual appointment on the Spring
Visit Day registration form. These appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please register at least a week prior to the visit day.
Times and locations of the appointments will be made available in the student’s event packet.
