Fall Open House

Monday, November 11, 2013

Whether you have decided to apply for admission or want to learn more about Linfield College, join us for Fall Open House. We invite all high school seniors, transfer students and their families to learn about our curriculum, international study abroad programs, student activities and athletic programs. Information regarding the admission process and financial aid will also be covered. Come and see our beautiful campus this November.

We request your registraiton by November 8.

Event Agenda

8:00 – 8:30 a.m.
Registration – Fred Meyer Lounge, Riley Campus Center
Relax in our student lounge with a cup of coffee, then make your way to Walker Hall to view photos from our students’ study abroad experiences.  

8:10-10:00 a.m.
Campus Tour – Departs from Fred Meyer Lounge, Riley Campus Center
Take a campus tour led by a current student, which will include academic buildings, athletic facilities, and a residence hall room. Tours will be leaving every 10 minutes starting at 8:10 a.m. with the last tour departing at 8:40 a.m. and last for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Admission and Financial Aid Information – Ice Auditorium, Melrose Hall
Lisa Knodle-Bragiel, Director of Admission, will discuss Linfield’s admission process and what your admission counselor is looking for in your application.  She will also highlight Linfield’s general education curriculum, advising program, and experiential learning opportunities.

11:15 – 12:00 p.m.
Sample Classes
Two sample classes taught by Linfield professors will be offered. Choose one of the two classes to attend and view first-hand what Linfield classes are like. Feel free to interact with your Linfield professor and ask questions.

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Lunch – Dillin Hall
Members of the Linfield community will join you for a hosted lunch and conversation in our dining commons. Before saying goodbye to Linfield or exploring campus on your own, we invite you to stop by to introduce yourself to your admission counselor, get your last minute questions answered, and visit the bookstore.

1:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Optional Admission and Financial Aid Information Session – Riley 201
Have additional admission or financial aid questions that you didn’t get answered throughout the day? This optional session is available for further discussion of Linfield.
