Saturday, February 17

1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Theatre Exam
Ford Hall

Due to the Theatre department's participation in The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Regional program, the Theatre exam will take place on Saturday, February 17. Students invited to participate in the theatre exam will receive additional details in their invitation packet, and are encouraged to spend Saturday evening on campus and participate in the full program on Sunday.

4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Overnight Host Pairing (optional for all students)

Fred Meyer Lounge, Riley Campus Center

Students from outside the region who need accommodations on campus hosted by a current student should arrive by 5:00 p.m. Prospective students will be introduced to their host. Students arriving on the Linfield-sponsored airport shuttle will be introduced to their host upon arrival to campus. Meal vouchers will be provided for the duration of the visit. Please note that overnight visits are for students only

Sunday, February 18 - Competitive Scholarship Day

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Event Registration and Academics & Activities Fair
Health & Human Performance Building

Participants must check-in to receive an event schedule and information about the day. Study rooms will be available for students wishing to prepare for their exam.

Once you have checked-in at the registration table, you will have the opportunity to mingle with faculty, staff and current students at our Academics & Activities Fair. A variety of representatives will be available to answer your questions, including from each of our academic departments, as well as the offices of Academic Advising, Career Development, International Programs, Student Government and more. Light refreshments will be served.

11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Campus Tours (optional)
We invite students and families to tour campus. Multiple tours will depart every ten minutes beginning at 11:00 a.m. and will last for 60 minutes. The tour will cover academic buildings, the athletic complex and a residence hall. The last tour will depart at 11:30 a.m. If you wish to take a campus tour, plan to arrive no later than 11:20 a.m.

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Competitive Scholarship Examinations

2:00 – 3:30 p.m.  Parent and Family Information Session

While students are taking their exams, parents and families are invited to participate in a conversation with Linfield community members. Information regarding Linfield’s academic and student life opportunities will be discussed and questions are encouraged.

3:45 – 4:30 p.m. Overnight Host Pairing
Foyer, Health & Human Performance Building

Students staying overnight with a current student will meet their overnight host. Meal vouchers will be provided for the duration of the visit. Overnight visits are optional for students. Please note that overnight visits are for students only and a listing of off-campus lodging may be found at www.linfield.edu/sleeptight.

Monday, February 19 - Class Visit (Optional)

8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Class Visit
Various Locations

Students spending Sunday evening on campus or in McMinnville are invited to attend a class. Class visit assignments and professor information will be provided in each student's event packet. All classes will end by 12:30 p.m. Students who note flight departure times, or that are utilizing the Linfield-sponsored airport shuttle will be placed in a class to ensure adequate travel time to Portland International Airport. Due to the number of visitors, we cannot guarantee a class visit into a specific course or subject, but will work to accommodate interests in a related academic area.
