Financial Aid for Transfer Students
Transfer students with a 3.25 GPA and above are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Information taken from the admission application will be used in scholarship evaluation. There is no separate scholarship application.
Transfer Scholarships are awarded to selected students who have attended two- or four-year accredited colleges and universities on a full-time basis and who have at least a 3.25 GPA in transferable courses. Dollar amounts for 2009-2010 range from $5,000 to $10,000 based on the tuition cost for two semesters. This scholarship is renewable at the same dollar amount each year if the student maintains a 3.00 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
Members of the Phi Theta Kappa (two-year college honor society) are eligible to receive a $2000 renewal scholarship. Up to 10 scholarships can be awarded each year. Students must have a 3.25 GPA in transferable courses to qualify for this scholarship. The award is renewable each year at the same dollar amount if the student maintains a 3.00 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner. To qualify, please include your Phi Theta Kappa membership certificate in admission application.
