Financial Aid for Transfer Students
Transfer Scholarships
Admitted transfer students with at least a 3.25 GPA will automatically be considered for transfer scholarships. No separate application is required and students will be considered for the following awards:
3.7 – 4.0 = $10,000
3.25 – 3.69 = $8,000
Transfer scholarships are renewable at the same dollar amount each year if the student maintains a 3.00 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
Members of the Phi Theta Kappa (two-year college honor society) are eligible for a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) scholarship up to $3,000. Consideration for the PTK scholarship is given to admitted transfer students. No separate application is required, however, please notify the offices of Admission or Financial Aid that the PTK membership is current.
The PTK scholarship is renewable each year at the same dollar amount if the student maintains a 3.00 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
Need-based Financial Aid
Any student who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be considered for need-based financial aid (grants, campus employment/work study, loans). Linfield’s FAFSA code 003198 for the McMinnville campus.
