What is Jan Term?

January term is an optional one-month session that offers intensive study in between the fall and spring semesters. Students will complete a semester’s worth of work during the month and will typically enroll in one academic course per January term.

Three ways to experience Jan term

1. Study on campus. Take an on-campus course and complete a semester’s worth of work in 4 weeks. This is a great opportunity to take a class that might not fit into a semester schedule or to enroll in a class that may be more challenging.
2. Study Abroad. Want to go to South Africa for a month? How about Italy? Linfield professors show students the world (literally!) during Jan term. Here is where they will be studying soon.
3. Become an intern. Try out a career and receive college credit. Where are Linfield students interning?
