Application Checklist - International

Printer Print

Applications will not be reviewed until they are complete.  A completed application for admission includes the following:

  • Online or hard copy of the Common Application (signed)
  • Linfield Common Application Supplemental Form Please note that your short answer questions cannot exceed 200 words (or 1000 characters). If you are having difficulty pasting your response into the space allotted, it is probably because you have too many characters (which may include spaces and tabs). Try pasting your response into a text file first to eliminate additional characters.
  • Financial Statement form signed by a parent or other guarantor, accompanied by a recent bank statement.  A personal letter from the parent or guarantor can substitute for the Financial Statement.
  • Essay (may be submitted online with Common Application or sent in separately)
  • One letter of recommendation .  For a freshman applicant, this may be a school report from the principal, counselor or teacher.  For a transfer applicant, it should be a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has taught you.
  • Official or certified copies of your academic records from all secondary schools and institutions of higher education which you have attended and official or certified copies of examination results.  These must be in English and should explain the grading system in use.
  • Evidence of English proficiency.  We prefer to receive a TOEFL score report.  However, a Cambridge test such as First Certificate of English, IELTS, MELAB or UCLES scores are acceptable.  If English has been the language of instruction, SAT I, SAT II or ACT scores may also be considered.
  • A recent photograph
