Student Leadership Opportunities
Residence Hall Activities
Every residence hall sponsors community-building activities each month. New students are encouraged to attend as many events as possible as relationships between members of the community often develop during these times. Past programs have included scavenger hunts, barbecues and off-campus field trips to Portland and the Oregon coast.
Residence Hall Association (RHA)
Each hall offers a Residence Hall Association (RHA) of elected members. Positions include: Residence Hall President, Intramural Sports Coordinator, Health and Wellness Coordinator, Community Service Coordinator, ASLC Senate Representative, Events Coordinator and Residence Life Judicial Representative. Elections are held early in the fall semester and all hall residence are encouraged to run for positions.
Residence Hall Executive Council
The elected presidents of each residence hall represent the Residence Hall Executive Council (RHEC). The council plans monthly programs that incorporate all members of the residence halls and surrounding community. Some past programs have included Trick-or-Treating for McMinnville community children, Homecoming, holiday decorating contest and an Easter egg hunt.
Residence Hall Peer Community Standards Board
The Residence Hall Judicial Board is a peer review board made up of representatives from each of the residence halls. The purpose of the Board is for students to be held accountable for their actions by their peers. The members of the Judicial Board are elected early in the fall semester and are part of their Residence Hall Association (RHA).
